Montblanc Soft Leather Range Black introduces the Saddler Bag

In September 2010, Montblanc will introduce the Saddler Bag as the masterpiece, limited edition men's bag within the Soft Leather Range. Yet this sleek, modern interpretation displays the exacting tailoring which beautifully defines Montblanc’s men’s bags while its clever design conceals an array of inner pockets and compartments reflecting the dynamic functionality of the original saddler bag. Dual Action

The man toting this elegantly reversible carry-all also has the opportunity to flaunt it in two distinct ways and each will evoke a dif ferent mood. A soft, dusky grey shearling side - augmented by a zipper pocket enhanced with a leather-bound metal pull - conjures casual chic. The other side - composed of finely grained, metallichued black calfskin trimmed with merino and featuring a top, zip-fastening pocket flanked by two further zipfastening compartments - presents an urbane panache.

An adjustable and removable shoulder strap - a hallmark of the Montblanc Soft Leather Range - allows the Saddler Bag to be sported with ease, across the body or suspended from the shoulder.

Two pockets customize the interior of the Montblanc Saddler Bag. One holds a personal digital assistant while a small document slips into the other pocket and there is a leather loop for a writing instrument.

The number of each one appears on a Montblanc star, the six-pronged symbol which honors the awe-inspiring glacier-covered summit of Europe's highest mountain after which Montblanc is named. Embellishing the centre of the Saddler Bag, the intricately crafted star appears in leather upon the shearling side and then, upon the Saddler's calfskin side, it has been produced from shimmering, white gold plated brass.

Produced by Montblanc’s skilled craftsmen in Florence, the Saddler Bag is the pinnacle accessory spearheading the introduction of newly updated items within the Soft Leather Range. Four large-scale bestselling models, including the trio for travel and city use - the Weekender Bag, the Camera Bag and Messenger Bag - as well as a Single Gusset Briefcase, appear in "soft touch" grained black calfskin which is set of f by shiny metal fittings and feature "gem-like" zipper pulls carved from horn. A collection of seven small leather items is comprised of pocket accessories and wallets.
